The time left to play Blade & Soul during the closed testing period is rapidly closing. Since I won't be able to make it for the final CBT due to x-mas plans, (was in all the previous ones) I figured I'd just take the time to write down my biggest pet peeves:

Since I won't be able to make it for the final CBT due to x-mas plans, (was in all the previous ones) I figured I'd just take the time to write down my biggest pet peeves:

1.Can't move around skill groups to different slots.  This is probably the single biggest annoyance I have with the game.  I tend to play a lot of alts, and the skills seem fairly haphazardly distributed.  Practically every melee character has their "approach" skill set to a different slot. The same is true with practically every "block" skill as well.While the game does allow you to remap keys, this isn't particularly helpful in this regards since logically you want the positioning of the abilities in the UI to match the positioning of the actual keys that trigger that ability. If slot 1 on the bar of 4 is key "1", slot 3 is key "3" and slot 4 is key "4", it's weird for slot 2 to be RMB, while the right most of the two slots off to the right correlates to the "2" key.

 

2.There is no indication that skills that aren't currently available are on cooldown.For instance on my Destroyer, being able to grab most enemies is an important part of my attack plan.However I can only tell that grab is on cooldown when my enemy is CC'd. I.e. at the time I want to use it... which is a fairly narrow window of opportunity.So I kill somebody, wait a bit, then attack somebody else... whoops, didn't wait long enough, grab is still on cooldown for another 4 seconds.

 

3.High cost of QoL time saving options, particularly in the early game.The fees for remote crafting and whatever quick travel is called scale badly, they need to be cheaper in the early game.I'd argue the first couple of quick travel destinations should be free, or at most 1 copper.Similarly, it's excessive for the fee to remote craft the easiest things to be like a 700% charge.  I didn't get far into crafting, so I *suspect* the charge is something of a flat fee that for more expensive Blade & Soul items is a trivial percentage of the crafting cost, but for the starting things, it seems, like I said, to be excessive.

 

4.Wardrobe isn't account wide/isn't an option for minor additional fee (see SWTOR) to make an outfit account-wide.

 

5.Difficulty/cost transferring items across characters on the same account.  Game could really use a handful of accountwide bank slots.

 

6.Ability to jump and do various animations in the outfit preview window, so you get a better idea for how the outfit will actually flow.  (yes, a lot of the skirts/mudflaps are annoyingly "locked" in place).

 

7.Misc issues with bid system (no option for BoP only, no method for dynamically generated min bid.  Really another argument entirely)
