Nice to meet you all beauuutifulll motherf**kers <3 my name is Cake, and I've worked on game translations in the past.

First thing I've noticed: You guys weren't able to fit in some of the full names for stats because the font size was wayyy too big. This is something that can be fixed by adding certain tags into the xml file that the translation team was working on. Currently, the profile view is as follows: 

And xml tags can be added (ill even tell you which ones are compatible with the XML code used in blade & soul in particular) to make it look a LOT more clean and professional, as shown in this picture:

The oversized text is easily fixable by adding xml tags to wrap around the attributes. The text pertaining to the stats that we see in the character profile are enveloped by a large font size elsewhere in the code.

 

Your current code for each of the lines pertaining to the titles of the panel looks like this:

A font tag can be wrapped around it to allow it to change to a more desirable size.

Yes, this is one of the fonts that has already been defined by the game's code elsewhere and is already ready to use. A snippet of the potential final code:

The names of the stats themselves could also use some changes to make the game more understandable for veteran and novice MMO players alike. As the game currently stands, there are many ambiguous and uncommon translations:

I would suggest the following classical MMORPG nomenclature for the stats, so as not to confuse the majority of players, and have more professional-sounding translations. The suggested changes are highlighted in bold.

 

Attack Power → Attack

Evolved Attack → Evolved Attack

Piercing → Penetration (this was the name used in Aion Online - most ncsoft veterans will be more familiar with this, rather than piercing. Moreover, 'piercing' is a verb, and sounds awkward when the rest of the stats are nouns.)

Critical → Critical Rate

Critical Damage → Critical Damage

Mastery → Mastery

Additional Damage → Additional Damage

Threat → Threat (could potentially be changed to the classical "Enmity", but it might be best for this one to remain the same.)

 

A final note:

The blade & soul localization team actually did a fantastic job, and I would really really like to commend you guys and give credit where credit is due. Most players are too fixated on how ridiculous some stupid NPC's accent is, or too busy making up imaginary "oh no this was censored" scenarios in their head without paying attention to how 99% of the game is so well-localized, uncensored (even the lyns!!), and that the developers have actually coded the ingame features that are usually only available via website (character lookups! marketplace! nc coin shop!) to be directly inside the game and wonderfully interactive. The quests are translated with beautiful language and you guys did a really good job. People may not realize that this translation process only took the span of a few months (and not a few years) because NCsoft had completely halted their progress in order to try and make a unique western game of their own (wildstar). Even though wildstar wasn't as wild (heheh. im so puntastic) a success as you guys had hoped, please go forth and allow your hopes to rest on Blade & Soul's NA release. It's only beta and I see hoes buying them founders packs up like cookies (;

ou cannot apply real world macro economics to an mmo since in an mmo there is potentially an unlimited supply of bns gold/materials you can make
